I’m Aalim Chowdhry, a London-based oil painter working from a studio in Marylebone. My technique leans on classical training, hours spent in front of the real thing, sketchbook in hand. This is me sketching a commission piece from the collection at the Tate, a lot of what ends up on canvas starts exactly like this.
